Beef lasagne

Delicious comfort dish

For 4 people

  • 400g mince beef

  • 1 chopped tomato can

  • 1 onion

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 600ml milk

  • 50g butter

  • 50g flour

  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 9 lasagne sheets

  • 50g gruyere cheese

  • salt and pepper

  1. Peel and chop the onion. Peel and crush the garlic cloves. Heat a large pan with the olive oil on medium heat. Add the chopped onion, after 5 minutes add the crushed garlic. Cook on low heat for 5 more minutes.

  2. Add the mince beef. Mix and cook medium heat until the beef is not red anymore. Add the chopped tomato, the sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Cook low heat for 8 minutes.

  3. In a small pan, melt the butter on low heat. Add the flour and mix. Pour the milk progressively while mixing with a whisk. Add the nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. Let it cook low heat, mixing regularly until the sauce get thicker. Once thinck, let it out of the heat.

  4. In your dish layer 3 sheets of lasagna, pour half of the beef mixture then third of the bechamel. Repeat once. Then add last layer of 3 sheets of lasagne and the remaining bechamel sauce. Cover with the grated cheese.

  5. Cook in the oven for 35 minutes at 180C.
