Carrots honey soy sauce slow cooker chicken

Super easy and delicious especially the sauce

For 4 people

  • 800 g carved chicken

  • 8 bunched carrots

  • 2 onions

  • 3 garlic cloves

  • 4 sprigs of thyme

  • 3 bay leaves

  • 120 ml (½ cup) soy sauce

  • 120 ml (½ cup) honey

  • 120 ml (½ cup) water

  • 60 ml (¼ cup) tomato paste

  • 1 tablespoon Worcester sauce

  1. Put the cared chicken in a slow cooker

  2. Chop the onions and carrots. Crush the garlic cloves

  3. In a bowl mix the soy sauce, honey, water, tomato paste and Worcester sauce

  4. Add vegetables, sauce, thyme and bay leaves in the slow cooker

  5. Cook cover for 8 hours on low heat

  6. If the sauce is too watery, remove the lid 2h before the end to let evaporate, until you get the thickness you want then put back the lid

  7. Serve with polenta or rice
